2 billion yuan! CSIT' S Sodium Battery Project Landed in Ma’anshan, Anhui

On June 25th, 2024, China Sodium Times (Shenzhen) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd (CSIT) has announced a major investment in na-ion battery research and development (R&D) and production with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, CSIT plans to build a 0.5GWh Sodium Ion battery cell semi-automatic pilot line and a 5GWh Pack production line in the first stage.
Following the initial phase, CSIT will construct a 3WGh sodium ion battery cell automated production line as part of its second-stage development1. This expansion aims to further enhance the company's production capabilities and meet the growing demand for sodium ion batteries.

According to a news release from the Management Committee of Bowang High-tech Zone in Maanshan City, Anhui Province on June 26, CSIT and the management committee officially signed a contract for the new energy battery R&D and production project1. The project is expected to generate annual revenue of no less than 1.8 billion yuan and contribute taxes of no less than 60 million yuan once fully operational.
Founded in December 2022, CSIT specializes in the development and application of high-safety, low-temperature-resistant, and over-discharge-resistant Sodium Ion Cells & packs. This focus aligns with the global trend towards renewable and sustainable energy solutions.
With this significant investment, CSIT is poised to play a key role in the advancement of sodium ion battery technology and contribute to the growth of the new energy sector in China and beyond.
