It is understood that the project is invested and constructed by China Sodium Times (Shenzhen) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Sodium Times). The total investment of the project is 740 million yuan, covering an area of ​​100 acres. According to public information, China Sodium Times was established in December 2022. Chairman Hu Haiping was the president of Shanshan Group and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of lithium Battery materials; Chief Scientist Academician Wu Feng is a scientist in the field of new energy materials. The company's 10,000-ton sodium cathode material production line and 0.5GWh sodium battery pilot production line have entered the construction planning stage.

In May this year, China Sodium Times announced that the company had completed its angel round of financing, led by Zijingang Capital and participated by Shenzhen Hi-Tech Investment. The company's current round of financing will be mainly used for the construction of production lines for sodium-ion battery cathode materials and the development of sodium-ion battery cells. In June, the company announced that it had received another strategic investment from Shenzhen Hi-Tech Investment to strengthen the research and development of sodium-ion battery cathode materials and sodium battery cells.
