Why use lithium battery to replace lead acid?
● Longer cycle life: Lithium batteries have a significantly longer cycle life than lead-acid batteries. The cycle life of ordinary lead-acid batteries is about 300-600 times, and the cycle life of lithium iron phosphate batteries is higher, which can reach 4,000. This means lithium batteries last longer, reducing the frequency and cost of battery replacement.
● Lower volume and weight: Lithium batteries are much smaller in size and weight than lead-acid batteries. The volume of lithium batteries is usually 1/3 of lead-acid batteries, which not only reduces the overall weight of the device, but also saves space.
● Higher energy density: The energy density of lithium batteries is generally 200-260Wh/g, while the energy density of lead-acid batteries is only 50-70Wh/g. This means that within the same volume or weight, lithium batteries can store and release more electrical energy.
● Higher charging and discharging efficiency: The charging and discharging efficiency of lithium batteries can exceed 97%, while lead-acid batteries are only about 80%. This means that lithium batteries consume less energy during charging and discharging. Especially in application scenarios that require frequent charging and discharging, lithium batteries perform better.
● Environmental protection advantages: During the production process of lead-acid batteries, lead-containing heavy metal wastewater, smoke and other pollutants will be produced, which will have a great impact on the environment. The production process of lithium batteries is relatively environmentally friendly and causes less pollution.
